Universe of Energy

Whether you loved Ellen’s Energy Adventure at Epcot’s Universe of Energy Pavilion or were happy to give it a miss, one thing is undeniable.  It was an absolute mainstay of Future World and for most of us brings up memories of our first visits to Walt Disney World.  The pavilion played host to  its last visitors yesterday before a permanent closure to make way for a new Guardians of the Galaxy themed attraction. We here at Chip and Co stopped by Epcot yesterday to bid a fond farewell.  Here are few pictures of our last visit for all posterity.

The facade did have a lot of wonderful details that we will miss.

And who can forget the Jeopardy sequence complete with Alex Trebek, Jamie Lee Curtis and Einstein?

Not to mention the ride’s highlight – the animatronic dinosaurs.

A big thank you to our staff writer Lisette for sharing her final Universe of Energy photos with us!  Keep following along with Chip and Co for the latest news and updates regarding the new Guardians of the Galaxy area coming to Future World as well as additional additions that include a Ratatouille ride and a new Space-themed restaurant.

It’s always sad to see classic attractions go but we looking forward to Epcot’s future!
