I remember when I was growing up every little girl in my class just had to have Hello Kitty stuff from notebooks to my favorite a pink little backpack. Every chance I got I would visit the Sanrio store in our local mall for all of the new items.
- Yes, even though I am going on 40 years old I am still a fan of Hello Kitty, Shhhhhh don’t tell my teenagers! You can imagine my excitement when I heard the news that Universal Orlando is opening an all new Hello Kitty store a little later this year.
This will be the first Sanrio store located at a theme park in North America. While Universal Orlando will be Sanrio’s first theme park location they are planning a second store to open in the future at Universal Studios Hollywood. Of course the store will offer specialty merchandise devoted to Hello Kitty such as stationery, home goods, apparel, accessories and collectibles. They will also have specialty items exclusive to Universal Orlando, and you will be able to custom design merchandise. How cool would it be to create your own custom souvenir version of Hello Kitty’s iconic bow? I know what I’m buying!
They will also feature other Sanrio products such as Chococat, My Melody, Badtz-Maru, Purin and Keroppi.
Now I’ve saved the best for last! Have you ever wanted to MEET Hello Kitty? Well now you’ll have your chance to meet Hello Kitty herself!
