The Hanger – New Restaurant concept coming to Disney Springs in 2015!

Well you may have heard about Disney’s massive new project which is expected to turn the Downtown Disney Area into an incredible new dining, shopping and entertaining experience called Disney Springs! This massive expansion is now underway and is really beginning to take shape! Disney Springs is expected to open in phases with Phase 1: “The Landing” debuting in 2015. Currently scheduled to finish by 2016, this expansion will literally double the current size of the Downtown Disney area and ultimately bring an innovative, fresh NEW look and feel to what is currently known as the Downtown Disney area.

The Landing

Disney Springs is set to open in two phases. As part of Phase 1 expected to debut in 2015 – the area that was once known as “Pleasure Island” will complete it’s magical transformation into “The Landing” which promises to bring exciting new restaurants, entertainment and shops to the area. When complete, this entire expansion will feature over 150 restaurants, shops, and experiences all which are set to reinvent the Downtown Disney experience by the end of 2016.

The Hangar is expected to bring a fun, exciting new restaurant and bar to ‘The Landing’ at Disney Springs and is currently being constructed on prime water front location where Pleasure Island once sat, obviously this gives the location a transportation edge when it comes to ferry, water taxi and/or perhaps even the new innovative amphicars which are expected to be featured as part of the 2015 Phase 1 debut.

This location seems to offer an expansive deck that reaches out over a stunning water front view of the new Disney Springs area and this restaurant and bar will soon feature unique theming with aviator inspired decor which seems to bring a more casual but very exciting option to The Landing.

Construction is coming along quickly and we are excited to see the new features and updates this experience will bring to the table.

Location

This new restaurant is sat just between it’s future neighbors: The Boathouse and Paradiso 37.

Future Menu

The Hangar’s future menu, featured cuisine and dining inspiration of this restaurant has yet to be released. However, we can assume by this location’s concept art and rumors that this new Disney Dining Experience may bring a more casual dining experience to The Landing.

Disney Springs

It won’t be long before we are able to make reservations and even drop in to this amazing new Disney Dining Experience set to open in 2015. The future of Disney Springs – Phase 1 will open during the beginning of 2015 and debut with “The Landing” and feature amazing new restaurants like The Boathouse and The Hangar to present the beginning of the massive expansion which is set for completion by 2016.
