Animal Kingdom is scheduled to reopen on Tuesday, September 12 after Hurricane Irma passes through. We are happy to announce that the Kilimanjaro Safari Savanna will be reopening with four new residents: Baby warthog piglets! Some Guests might have had the opportunity to already see them as they started their adventures on the Savanna at the beginning of the month.
The three male and one female piglets were born back in June to mom Regean. They were bred through the Species Survival Plan, which is overseen by Associaton of Zoos and Aquariums and ensures responsible breeding and diverse populations of threatened and endangered species.
