First Look of the Christmas Decorations at the Magic Kingdom

Did you know that the Magic Kingdom transforms from being decorated for Halloween on October 31st, to being decked out in its Christmas deco on November 1st each year?   The last Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party takes place the evening of Halloween.  After the park closes, the Disney team gets to work and transforms the park into a Christmas Wonderland; literally overnight.  Here is a first look of the Christmas decorations at the Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom.

During the day, the Magic Kingdom Christmas decorations are festive with their many shades of green, red, gold, and silver.  The entrance of the Magic Kingdom features a giant Mickey Mouse Ears Christmas Ornament just below the train station.  As you enter Main Street USA, you will notice the awesome wooden soldiers standing vigil.  Set between the Chamber of Commerce and Guest Relations is the little garden area featuring the Countdown to Christmas.  All along Main Street USA you will see wreaths and poinsettias adorning the light posts and green spaces.

As the sun goes down, the Magic Kingdom Christmas decorations come alive with light and color.  From the twinkling lights surrounding the giant Mickey Mouse Ears Ornament, to the garland lights, tree lights, wreath lights, and castle lights the Magic Kingdom is all aglow.  The evening hours are truly the best time to enjoy the holiday splendor that exists around the Magic Kingdom.
