The Apple Watch apps have focused mainly on utility, and health and fitness, Disney is bringing a dose of Disney magic to the new wearable, offering users fun, feel good moments wherever and whenever. Leveraging assets and content from Disney Publishing Worldwide’s publishing programs and magazine series, “Disney Moment” delivers Disney entertainment to fans throughout the day, while maximizing the innovative features of the new watch.
“Disney Moment” includes:
- Entertaining Content – Five categories of content at launch, including “Trivia,” “Quotes,” “This Day in History,” and “Character of the Day,” featuring inspirational quotes from favorite Disney characters and legends, historical fun facts, fun mini quizzes, exclusive content, and more.
- Magic At-A-Glance – Up to 20 real-time content notifications a day using Apple Watch Glances to view highlights of unseen content throughout the day, putting content front and center no matter what time it is. Tapping the Disney Moment Glance screen takes users to the newest Disney Moment.
- Swipe and Zoom – Easy swipes on the Apple Watch allow users to quickly and intuitively move through a robust collection of Disney content. Apple Watch’s unique Digital Crown allows users to nimbly scroll through and zoom in and out of each Disney Moment.
- Spread the Smile – A save feature that allows users to save their favorite Disney Moments simply by tapping “Favorites” or “Save” on the Apple Watch app and iPhone app. Once saved, users can share their favorite Disney moments with friends and family through a number of social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter, and more.
“Disney Moment” will be available globally in English for Apple Watch and iPhone beginning April 24 for $5.99, and requires iOS 8.0 and greater and iPhone 5 and above. The “Disney Moment” app icon and screenshots can be downloaded HERE.
