The Disney College Program offers its participants the chance to gain on-the-job experience while working within the Walt Disney World Resort. As part of the Disney College Program participants have the opportunity to live with other members of the program in company sponsored housing, and Disney is looking to expand the program housing.
Flamingo Crossings – a Disney related entity – has submitted an application to the Orange County Development Review Committee for plans to build 2,600 apartment units on undeveloped property along state road 429. The new unit plans are double the amount of units they had originally planned. The application will be up for review on October 18th, from there the plans will go to the planning and zoning commission in November, and the Board of County Commissioners in December.
