If you have young kids you are going to want to subscribe to the new Disney Junior digital magazine available in the app store or Apple Newsstand.
My son and I spent hours playing with this interactive magazine and let me tell you, it was a big hit with both of us. The issue we read was called “Everyone’s an Artist,” and there were lots of games relating to color and art work. My son loved all of the coloring and the ability to choose which color virtual crayon he would use with each new page! I love the fact that he could draw and write without any risk to my walls and floors!
The table of contents pictures characters from Disney Junior programming that are familiar to young children. Characters such as Handy Manny, Sofia the First, Mickey and the Gang, and Jake and the Neverland Pirates are always winners with my son and I am sure many parents share the same sentiments! Using these characters to provide teachable activities is a home run!
The home page is bright, big and easy to navigate for small unsure fingers. By tapping on a character you are transported to the corresponding chapter in the magazine where you will find interactive activities!
There were stories, mazes, coloring pages, matching games, mind benders, and more each one with interactive features that can be done again and again. Unlike a print edition, the digital edition allows this wonderful benefit of repetition which is a superb way for kids to learn.
Parents will also love the activity suggestions throughout the publication. This gives parents some great ideas for fun and educational things to do with the little ones using inspiration from the magazine. Activities you can use at home or out at the park are featured in the publication. As a parent, I am always thankful for one less thing to think about or assistance in planning an activity!
