According to TMZ, Mitchel Musso, who starred as Oliver Oken on “Hannah Montana”, was arrested for drunk driving in Burbank, CA, yesterday.
TMZ states that law enforcement pulled over Musso, who is only twenty-years-old, at nearly 4AM. He had failed to slow down for officers that were directing traffic for another, unrelated incident. He was given a sobriety test and performed poorly. He was arrested on suspicion of DUI and was taken to a nearby police station, where his bail was set to $5,000.
Musso also stars on “Pair of Kings” and “PrankStars” on the Disney Channel.
Musso isn’t the first Disney Channel star to land himself in trouble. Not too long ago footage of Miley Cyrus surfaced where she is seen taking hits of salvia from a bong. Demi Lovato checked herself into rehab after having a physical altercation with one of her backup dancers. And, of course, no one can forget Lindsay Lohan and her string of problems.
Musso is Mason Musso’s brother, who was a member of the electro-pop group Metro Station before they announced an indefinite hiatus, headed by Trace Cyrus, Miley Cyrus’ half-brother.

As for Disney stars….what do you honestly think Walt would think of this sort of behavior? I think that is the standard they should be held to, even if some think it’s old fashioned.
these kids are human and are only acting as such. it is our responsibility as parents not to put these people on a pedestal for our kids. my 2 daughters love watching disney channel and all the shows. i must say – the biggest disappointment to them has been miley cyrus. i believe this is because she was put so high up, that when she tried to be a teenager, she failed with her approach. drinking doesn’t have to be a “normal” part of being a teen, but it seems to be what society thinks acceptable. these kids are set up to fail. disney has no control over their actions. all they can do is try their best to chose well rounded and grounded young people for their shows.unfortunately, for these young adults, their private lives are put out there for everyone to witness. i wish him luck in getting over this as i’m sure it won’t go away any time soon.
I feel like they should be held to a higher standard because they are on the Disney Channel. They chose that role so they should know better. And personally it really ticks me off when they get into trouble for things like this and I think their shows should be pulled.
