I was recently in Disney with my travel agency (Pixie Vacations) and we were treated by Disney to a Cirque Du Soleil La Nouba show at Downtown Disney. I had heard of Cirque Du Soleil before but had never thought twice about going.
Don’t get me wrong, I am a HUGE theater lover and enjoy live performances, I guess the ticket price ($61.00-$120 per person) and time it would take out of my vacation always convinced me to sit this one out.
I must say that this show BLEW me away!!! It quite honestly was one of the most visually stimulating and entertaining 90 minutes of live theater I have ever experienced in my life.
The talent that is present on the stage is absolutely breathtaking. From the minute it starts until the minute it ends you are on the edge of your seat and quite often have to pick your jaw up off of the floor for what you are experiencing.
There is some audience participation (don’t let that scare you), acrobatics that are out of this world, comedy, a little something for everyone in your family.
For the kids in your family they will be engaged the entire time and find it extremely entertaining (I would say from about age 6 and up) and for the man/boys in your family who say they don’t want to go see clowns on stage there are some bike tricks in this show that are worth the price of admission alone.
I can’t wait to return with my family and watch their faces from start to finish of this amazing show.
I always wondered what the big deal is and how this show has run as long as it has in Downtown Disney and continues to pull in crowds for two nightly performances, but now I UNDERSTAND why and I encourage you to find out!
I will say that there really isn’t a bad seat in the house. We were second row which I thought would be PERFECT but we did spend most of our time with our necks craned up in the air. For a PERFECT seat, choose towards the middle, center of the theatere : )
