Character Breakfast at Cape May Cafe

It was so exciting try a different Character Meal during my February trip to Walt Disney World. My daughter and our two good friends, Les and Lisa had a “girls’ breakfast” at Cape May and really enjoyed it.

Cape May Cafe is at the Beach Club Resort on Walt Disney World property. We had a car so we just parked in the guest parking lot, but if you were staying on property you would want to take a bus to either Hollywood Studios or Epcot for your reservation and be sure to plan that into your travel time. Once we got to the host station, we received our buzzer and had a seat in the lovely Beach Club lobby for just a few minutes. We probably waited for less than 5 minutes before our buzzer went off.

The restaurant is much larger than I thought it was going to be, and could accommodate many guests. The dining rooms sport a classic 30’s beach theme and there is a buffet that will blow your mind. It’s also one of the most affordable Character Meals out there at $25.00 for adults and $12.99 for children, and a great way to see the some of the “Fab 5” ( Minnie, Goofy, and Donald).

After we were seated, our waitress took our drink orders and we headed off to the buffet. I can say, without hesitation, that this was THE MOST DELICIOUS BREAKFAST BUFFET at Walt Disney World. It far surpassed any that I’ve ever had at Crystal Palace, Akershus, Hollywood & Vine, Tusker House, & Chef Mickey’s.

The hash browns, sweet rolls, cinnamon rolls, and chocolate croissants were amazing, but we DIED over the Mickey frittata, and quiche.  There was another casserole my friends both had multiple servings of, but I forgot to write down its name.

And soon it was time for the stars of our breakfast! Goofy, Minnie and Donald were all rocking their beach wear! This trip, Cape May was so empty that they came around THREE TIMES! We got to spend so much time with them and since so few people even know what Cape May is, you are unlikely to feel rushed during your entire meal, which is a real bonus.

We really enjoyed our time at Cape May and I would book it again. The food was wonderful, the price was RIGHT, and the Characters were some of the most sought after at Disney World. I hope you will consider Cape May for your next trip. You won’t be disappointed!

This is a must each vacation! We love eating here for one of the latest times available and then staying awhile. The characters get very playful at the end and you get to see them over and over. The food is great and we wouldn’t miss it!

I was just going over the pros and cons of each character breakfast, trying to decide which one we may choose for our trip in Nov/Dec. You may have swayed me!
