Disney’s Animal Kingdom has put into effect new opening procedures for Pandora – The World of Avatar, effective immediately. Previously guests wishing to visit Pandora, in the early morning, could enter or exit using both the bridge next to Tiffins and the Harambe bridge that connects Africa and Pandora.
The popularity of Pandora’s main attraction, Avatar Flight of Passage, has created massive congestion to the entrance and exits of the new land. Now the entrance/exit via the Harambe bridge will be closed to Pandora until the queue for Flight of Passage has been moved to only one side of the bridge. The line has been organized and under control by late morning. If you plan to visit Pandora soon, Cast Members are stationed throughout Pandora to help you navigate the crowds.
As someone who recently visited Pandora, and attempted to exit through the Harambe bridge, I think this is a fantastic procedure to put in place. It was rather chaotic as Cast Members worked to control the lengthy line, and I found it difficult to figure out who was coming, who was going, and who was attempting to stay pu in the queue. The good news is, Disney park guests were super helpful and communicative despite the heat and long waits!
Above I have inserted a photo of the Animal Kingdom map, the blue circle shows where to enter and exit Pandora during the morning hours; the red X marks Harambe bridge. Do you plan on visiting Pandora soon?
