Today is National Cupcake Day and to celebrate Disney is giving us a taste of the amazing cupcake varieties that you can find around Walt Disney World. So if you’re heading to Disney World in the weeks or months head be sure to jot down your favorites and bring your appetites.
Celebrate Epcot’s 35th Anniversary by heading to Sunshine Seasons at The Land Pavilion to try out this gorgeous vanilla cupcake (pictured above) filled with peanut butter and jelly and topped with edible flowers.
Also at Sunshine Seasons, you’ll find this special Holiday cupcake featuring a cinnamon vanilla swirl cupcake base and vanilla buttercream icicles.
For those looking for a cupcake that is truly out-of-this-world head on over to Fountain View for this special Spaceship Earth 35th Anniversary cupcake that is almost too beautiful to eat. Its made up of yellow cake, strawberry pastry cream filling, silver fondant and sprinkles.
Main Street Bakery at Magic Kingdom theme park is serving up this festive red velvet cupcake filled with peppermint mousse and topped with cream cheese buttercream, peppermint sprinkles and peppermint bark.
Also at Main Street Bakery, you’ll find these two amazing cupcake treats. The Lightning McQueen version is made up of a chocolate cupcake filled with peanut butter mousse and topped with mocha buttercream, chocolate curls and a white chocolate McQueen topper. The Mickey and Minnie version is made up of a yellow cupcake filled with strawberry mousse and topped with raspberry buttercream, strawberry crispy pearls and a white chocolate Mickey and Minnie heart.
Over at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, Creature Comforts on Discovery Island has been serving up this Cotton Top Tamarin, a chocolate cupcake topped with chocolate buttercream icing, chocolate shells and a dark and white chocolate Cotton Top Tamarin.
Celebrate the Holiday Season by tucking into this special “Prep and Landing”- themed cupcake found at various locations throughout Hollywood Studios including The Trolley Car Cafe. The cupcake is comprised of a gingerbread spiced cake, vanilla buttercream icing, holiday sprinkles and a white chocolate topper featuring these much-loved elves.
Finally, no Disney World cupcake list would be complete without a tip-of-the-hat to Sprinkles Bakery at Disney Springs. Cupcakes are their speciality and for the month of December, you can find special seasonal flavors like red velvet, chocolate peppermint and gingerbread cupcakes. You can even order a JOY box filled with holiday cupcakes adorned with special holiday touches. Don’t have time to wait in line? Stop by their Cupcake ATM and grab a cake on the go.
