Celebrate National Blueberry Pie Day at Vivoli il Gelato in Disney Springs

If you enjoy fresh blueberries as much as we do then you will be happy to know that this Friday, April 28th, is National Blueberry Pie Day.  Our friends at Vivoli il Gelato Disney Springs are celebrating this special day by serving up some sweet blueberry treats this week.  Be sure to stop by and see what they have created for us.

Perfect weather, caring farmers and good luck are the most important ingredients for a flavorful blueberry pie. Florida blueberry farmers carefully tend to these small fruits throughout the year to help produce the freshest pies in the country.  Vivoli il Gelato Disney Springs is working with Tew Farms of Winter Haven by taking its Italian roots and applying them to Florida’s home-grown blueberries. Silvana Vivoli has created a Sundae with blueberry pie sorbet with vanilla and Biscotti gelato and topped off with a homemade blueberry sauce created with crisp Florida blueberries, graham cracker crust and whipped cream – Just in time for National Blueberry Pie Day on April 28th. Now that’s a delicious way to pay homage to an American classic without having to whip out the baking tools and with an Italian twist too!

You can find Vivoli il Gelato in The Landing Neighborhood of Disney Springs.  Take note of the Blueberry Pie option on the April Sundae Specials menu.  The Mirtillo (Blueberry Sorbet) looks absolutely amazing and we are planning to stop by and try this fun new Sundae option later this week.
