ABC Studios is proud to announce “The River” TV series release on DVD May 22, 2012, just weeks after the season finale on ABC-TV. The paranormal thriller “The River” DVD will dig deeper into the series with never-before-seen material such as exclusive bonus features, deleted scenes, blooper reels and featurettes from favorite characters. Each allows fans the chance to relive all their favorite moments uninterrupted, catch up on missed episodes and share their love show with friends and family.
THE RIVER: The Complete First Season
From Executive Producer Steven Spielberg, and the director of “Paranormal Activity” Oren Peli, a truly harrowing and hair-raising series comes to DVD. “The River: The Complete First Season” tells the tale of famed wildlife explorer and TV personality Dr. Emmet Cole who went looking for magic deep in the uncharted Amazon and never returned.
Now, six months after he vanished, a brave crew of family, old friends and new acquaintances embark on a mysterious and deadly journey to find him in the deepest and darkest depths of South America. The DVD is filled with exclusive bonus features, including deleted scenes that draw audiences further into this heart-pounding adventure.

This is a show I know quite a few people watch, including people in my own family, so I know they’ll be very happy to know that the ‘Army Wives’ are on their way home for the sixth season on September 18, 2012. The fifth season of the popular ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ spin-off , ‘Private Practice’, is coming home to DVD on September 11, 2012. This is one of the most popular spin-offs I’ve seen quite a while, and seems to have quite the following. I haven’t personally seen it, but I know it has its fans, so I’m sure they’re excited to hear the newest season is heading to DVD soon. Is anyone excited to see the newest season head to DVD?
