Monsters University Storybook Deluxe App

In anticipation of this summer’s release of the Monsters, Inc. movie prequel, Monster’s University, Disney Publishing has a released a brand new app – Monsters University Storybook Deluxe! The fully animated interactive storybook is now available for $6.99 in the iTunes App Store for the iPad, iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad Mini and sheds new light on the story of the friendship of beloved monster pals Mike and Sulley.
Young readers ages 6-10 will find out how the fun-loving monster duo went from being mismatched strangers to inseparable pals by exploring original film clips featuring official character voices, interactive storytelling exercises, game activities and more. Additional app highlights include:
Disney Infinity Debuts New Pirates of the Caribbean Trailer & Screenshots
Today, Disney Interactive is providing an in-depth look into the Pirates of the Caribbean Play Set within Disney Infinity through an all new set of character images, action screenshots and a gameplay trailer featuring both Play Set and Toy Box modes. Pirates of the Caribbean will be part of the title’s starter pack that is launching on August 18, along with The Incredibles and Monsters University.

Disney and EA Announce Multi-year Deal to Develop Star Wars Video Games

Today Disney and EA announced that they will be coming together to bring about new Star Wars games for hardcore gamers. So fear not Playstation and X-Box console lovers, you may just get your Star Wars first person shooter or squad based game sooner than later. It also looks like Disney will continue to push forward developing casual games for Facebook and mobile platforms. Read the press release info below.
The Walt Disney Company and Electronic Arts Inc. today announced a new multi-year exclusive licensing agreement to develop and publish globally new games based on Star Wars characters and storylines.
Under the agreement, EA will develop and publish new Star Wars titles for a core gaming audience, spanning all interactive platforms and the most popular game genres, while Disney will retain certain rights to develop new titles within the mobile, social, tablet and online game categories.
