Disney is now offering a double feature of its hit animated films Toy Story and Toy story 2. That’s not all! The re-released films will provide you with an all new movie experience in 3D! They are set to run for only two weeks, kicking off on October 2.
Toy Story, which was orginally released in 1995, was Disney/Pixar’s first computer generated feature-length venture. The film was a box office success and won three Academy Awards in 1996.  It also began a box office streak for Pixar whose studios have yet to produce a dud. It was followed up by Toy Story 2 in 1999.
In celebration of it’s forthcoming third installment, Toy Story 3, the double feature will offer a sneak peek at the new film. For tickets and showtimes visit the Fandango website and find your nearest theater.
All-new episodes of Disney Pixar’s “Cars Toons,” an animated short series directed by Academy Award-winner John Lasseter with Rob Gibbs co-directing and starring Lightning McQueen’s rusty friend Mater, will debut beginning FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 20 on Disney Channel, Disney XD and ABC Family. They are titled “Unidentified Flying Mater,” “Monster Truck Mater,” “Heavy Metal Mater” and “Tokyo Mater.”
In “Unidentified Flying Mater,” premiering Friday, November 20 on Disney Channel, Mater meets a cute little bucktoothed UFO named Mator, takes him out for a night of fun and they quickly become best friends. But when Mator is captured by the military, Mater and Lightning McQueen come to the rescue.
“Monster Truck Mater”
Mater is a professional wrestler who works his way up the ranks from amateur to World Champion Monster Truck Wrestler, wrestling all kinds of characters along the way. When faced with his biggest opponent yet, Mater tags in his “tag team partner,” Frightening McMean.
“
Heavy Metal Mater” Mater is a rock star in a
heavy metal band. He starts out in a garage band and rises to the top with his hit song, “Dad Gum.”
Lightning McQueen joins him on stage in the middle of a huge concert and they rock into history.
“Tokyo Mater” A routine towing assignment lands Mater in Tokyo, where he is challenged to a drift-style race against a nefarious gang leader and his posse of ninjas. With the help of his friend, “Dragon”
Lightning McQueen, and some special modifications, Mater attempts to drift to victory and become “Tow-ke-O Mater, King of all Drifters.”
Remember Luxo Jr, the Pixar short which managed to make an anglepoise lamp into an unbelievably cute cartoon character? Now you can own one.
The Up – Limited Edition Luxo Jr. Lamp Pack is in fact an attempt to convince you to buy a Blu-ray copy of Pixar and Disney’s Up, which comes in the box along with a DVD copy and a digital version. But we know what the main attraction is here, and it’s the little limited-edition lamp. This should really be sold seperately, but as it is you’ll have to pay $200, or $140 if you grab it from Amazon.
You can now get them as a couple, the way Pixar and robot love intended. For $120. Who can resist? Wall-E is holding EVE’s pistol arm and defending her in the pic above. These two have a love that knows no bounds and sells movie tickets like nothing else. Now let them store your data.
