Choosing Your Disneyland Airport
We at Chip and Co are your go to Walt Disney World Planning Tips, but we’re more than just Walt Disney World. We are Disneyland, Disney Aulani, and beyond. Stop your searching the web and stick with us for all your Disney Needs. Here and now we’re giving you our Disneyland Pre-Planning Tips.
You may recall we went over some checklist items for a Disneyland Vacation earlier this year. Now we need to choose your Disneyland Airport.
What Airports are there: Disneyland is serviced by many airports. The main three are Long Beach (LGB), Santa Ana (SNA) and Los Angeles (LAX), CA. My personal favorite is Long Beach. It’s a great little airport that is easy to get in and out of. Plus the old school stair ramp exit off your plane is super cool. You could also fly into Burbank, Ontario or even San Diego if you wish.
5 Reasons You’ll Fall In Love With Disney’s Wilderness Lodge Resort
So, you’ve decided it’s time for another trip to Walt Disney World, Let me be the first to congratulate you on a decision well made, and may I also suggest that you consider the beautiful Wilderness Lodge as your Disney Resort. WHY, you might ask? Well, here’s the top 5 reasons:
1. A Lot To Look At – Inside AND outside: From far away, it looks like a giant log cabin, and it is simply breathtaking. It’s modeled after the Old Faithful Lodge in Yellowstone National Park, as it was in the early 1900′s. The lobby is quite the sight – it has an 80 foot tall fireplace, huge totem poles, and plenty of spaces to relax (including some old fashioned wooden rocking chairs). The theming is spectacular at this resort, from the landscaping to the sound of crickets as you enter the front door, you really are immersed in the National Park motif that’s carried on throughout the Resort.
Monsters University Monorail Pulls Into Walt Disney World
There’s a new monorail in town here at Walt Disney World Resort that you’ve just gotta see! One of the monorails on the Magic Kingdom Park Resorts loop now features the cast of Disney•Pixar’s new movie Monsters University,” including Mike, Sulley and a host of new characters you’ll meet when it comes to theaters June 21.
Last time we saw them on-screen, Mike Wazowski and James P. Sullivan seemed to be an inseparable pair, but that wasn’t always the case. From the moment these two mismatched monsters met they couldn’t stand each other – and that’s the story told in “Monsters University,” which lets us take a fun look back at how Mike and Sulley met and eventually became the best of friends.

When your child has a MUST DO item on their Disney Vacation
When you ask your little one what they want to see the most on their upcoming trip, they will most likely say one of the newest and most popular things currently in the park!
This is one thing that you must plan ahead for, unless of course you don’t mind spending 3 hours in line to see Merida! Kids like what is popular, so you should expect that hundreds of other parents are going to be trying to get their little ones that coveted picture too!
Here are some tips to help you avoid hours in line for one character/ride/show!
Boating around Walt Disney World
The nearest ocean is a good hour’s drive away in either direction from Walt Disney World. Although the Resort is landlocked, all is not lost for Guests who love the open waters.
I feel like Bubba Blue from Forrest Gump, except instead of spouting shrimp dishes I’m listing boating options. You’ve got…
- Pedal boating
- Canoeing
- Kayaking
- Motor boating
- Sailboating
- Parasailing (pulled by a boat)
- Tubing (pulled by a boat)
- Water skiing (pulled by a boat)
- Wake boarding
- Specialty cruises
- And of course, Friendships and ferries
No kidding! I’m telling you, Walt Disney World truly has something for everyone. Here, Captain Mickey and Sailor Donald know they are not the only ones who like to set sail, so they’ve arranged plenty of options for your seafaring hearts.
