10 Things things that you’re never “Too Old” for at Disney World

10 Things things that you’re never “Too Old” for at Disney World

A lot of adults write off Walt Disney World as “kid’s stuff”…personally I think that is nuts! While I believe adults can find a lot of ‘grown up’ activities to keep them happy and busy, I also think that everyone should take the time to experience all of these at least once (if not over and over!):

  • Spinning on the teacups as fast as you can (please note: adults AND kids should probably NOT eat right before attempting this!)
  • Getting your picture taken with characters – adults may think it’s silly to wait in line for Minnie’s autograph (I know I do – even I draw the line here – did enough of that when I was a kid!) but if you’re enjoying a character meal, and Minnie comes over to say hi, don’t avoid it, embrace the chance to let her hug you and have your picture taken with her (Minnie is quite the little flirt with the gentleman – so keep an eye on your husbands ladies!). On a separate but related note, I also think no one is too old for character meals, where you will find a fun, casual atmosphere and some of the best food WDW has to offer!
  • Water Slides – Disney offers two water parks full of all kinds of slides and pools, it’s the perfect way to cool off on a hot day
  • Roller coasters – even though many of the rides at WDW may be geared towards the younger crowd, there are many that adults can enjoy – from Space Mountain in the Magic Kingdom to Expedition Everest in Animal Kingdom, every park has at least one ‘thrill’ ride that will get your adrenaline pumping!
  • Towel Animals – When you stay on property at one of WDW’s many hotels, the cast members who clean the rooms will leave your towels/washcloths in cute shapes, sometimes animals or setup as a vase for pipe cleaner ‘flowers’, it may seem silly, but it always makes me smile (and usually take a picture…could probably make a whole album full of towel animal pictures! Silly, but it’s just another one of those Magical Disney touches that I love!)

What you can do to get your kids ready for Character Meet & Greets!

When we started taking John to Disney World people told us we were crazy, he is too young, he won’t remember, blah blah blah.  His first trip was when he was 8 months old.  We took a Disney cruise on the Disney Dream (this was AMAZING), and then we headed off to Disney World for 4 more nights.  This vacation was the best vacation ever!  We made memories that he may not remember, but we sure will!  While at Castaway Cay he met Donald, his first character.

This meeting was love at first sight!  He was so happy and excited!  At one point he even tried to kiss his beak.  He loved Donald so much that he actually cried when we had to leave!  We have since been back to Disney 2 more times with John (he is only 2), and his love for Disney characters keeps on growing.  He not only calls all of the characters by name, but he also is always on the look out while there and can spot a character from a mile away.

‘Wreck-It Ralph’ Characters Are Coming to Disney Parks This November

‘Wreck It Ralph’ Characters Are Coming to Disney Parks This November
Great News! Disney’s Wreck-It Ralph and Vanellope Von Schweetz, two of the main characters from Disney’s newest animated adventure comedy “Wreck-It Ralph,” will soon be making their debut at Disney Parks.

“Wreck-It Ralph” is going to be great, and meeting Ralph and Vanellope in the parks will be just as fun. At The Magic of Disney Animation attraction at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, you’ll step through Game Central Station, catching glimpses of the various game worlds from the film on your way to “Sugar Rush,” where Vanellope and Ralph are waiting to meet you at the finish line.

At Disneyland park, the arcade world of “Wreck-It Ralph” comes to life within the Tomorrowland Starcade. When Ralph and Vanellope are there, you’ll have an opportunity to meet them at the portal to “Sugar Rush” and can even play a round on the classic arcade game “Fix-It Felix, Jr.”

Look for each of these experiences to open this November, and be sure to catch “Wreck-It Ralph” in theaters November 2 in 3D!

Disney Confidential – Another Piece of the Puzzle Means Another Meet and Greet in Epcot

Disney Confidential Another Piece of the Puzzle Means Another Meet and Greet in Epcot

Hey there guys and gals, guess who? It’s me…that’s right your answer to the maze that is Disney gossip… Anonymouse here. Today I have a juicy morsel of information for you…which is better than the juicy bit of whatever it was that was stuck in Chimp’s…err I mean Chip’s teeth earlier.

Anyway, moving on to the more important piece of info…a new permanent (for now because nothing really is permanent in Disney) character meet and greet location is coming to Epcot and more specifically, to the France Pavilion. If you remember last week we talked about Front of the Park Meet & Greet in Epcot this week we have even more Character News!

Disney Confidential – What May be Coming to Epcot… Is It a New Meet and Greet Area?

Disney Confidential What May be Coming to Epcot... Is It a New Meet and Greet Area?

Here there guys and gals Anonymouse here. I have some juicy gossip for you on this Sunday Morning.

A new meet and greet may be coming to EPCOT (okay it is) according to the recently filed construction permits. Disney has not yet confirmed or commented on the addition of what is described as “Epcot – Front of Park meet and greet” in the permit (but they will).

I can only imagine the characters we can plan on seeing…if they use the building that housed the kennel you may see Chimp Chip going about his daily routine. When they closed the kennel they forgot to tell Chip it was time to move on! Other than that maybe we will see new characters like Merida  making her debut there and have a mini highlands games like they did this past summer.

There are a few areas that make obvious choices such as I mentioned, the now vacant building  that housed the kennel, or maybe the area off to the right-side of the entrance which is currently being used for the characters to meet.
