DIAGON ALLEY IS COMING TO UNIVERSAL ORLANDO RESORT

Scheduled to open in 2014, the world’s first centrally themed, multi-park experience expands The
Wizarding World of Harry Potter across both Universal Orlando theme parks and allows Universal’s
creative team to bring an unparalleled vision to this unique project. The new area will bring to life
some of the experiences and places found in and around London in the Harry Potter books and
films, offering brand-new adventures for fans and theme park guests from around the world.
Diagon Alley and ‘London’ will be located within the Universal Studios Florida theme park, which is
adjacent to Universal’s Islands of Adventure theme park, where guests now experience Hogwarts
and Hogsmeade. The new area within Universal Studios will be just as expansive, immersive and
authentic as the existing themed environment.

And – just like in the books and films – guests will be able to travel between ‘London’ and Hogsmeade aboard the Hogwarts Express. Work on the new area is already underway. When complete, it will feature shops, a restaurant and an innovative, marquee attraction based on Gringotts bank – all directly inspired by the fiction and films.

The Disney parks are planning for a Monstrous Summer and this includes renovations and expansions to the parks and resorts. Here is an update on what will be coming to Walt Disney World!

New Fantasyland is the largest expansion in Magic Kingdom history and although most of the area has opened, there is still one central part under construction- the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train roller coaster. This attraction will include both an indoor and outdoor track and swaying ride vehicles.

“I think it’s definitely going to add a dynamic, a lot of kinetic energy, which will be fun,” says new Walt Disney World President George Kalogridis. “I think of it as theater in the round,” says Mark Kohl, director of project management for the Fantasyland expansion. “Our guests will be able to walk 360 degrees around the coaster when it’s complete and experience it from all angles.”

The attraction is planned to slow down indoors and morph into a dark ride and then back into a roller coaster. “We’re going to take you inside this magical cave where millions of diamonds and gems are going to shine, and seven of our closest friends are all going to be hard at work in there,” Kohl says. The Seven Dwarfs Mine Train is expected to open in the spring 2014.

Disneyland Innoventions is one of your favorite places to visit, right? Okay, maybe it’s not your first stop. Last? Ever? As a self-proclaimed Disney Geek, I know that Innoventions isn’t always on my list. All that has changed though. I bet you will get there right after rope drop now.

Disneyland Park Features ‘Iron Man’ Tech, Presented by Stark Industries. How cool is that? Do you want to check out Tony Stark’s Iron Man Hall of Armor? It’s here.

How about putting on your own Iron Man suit? Would that be appealing too? That’s right, head on into Innoventions and you can. Just remember to start at 1% Power, we don’t want anyone flying into the concrete walls.

Who is Building and Paying for the Parking Garages at Downtown Disney?

Who is Building and Paying for the Parking Garages at Downtown Disney?

Hello everyone! What a lovely Spring Day and Hello to all the Anonymouse fans in my fandom!  My fandom is ruled by the fair and honest ruler Chimp Chip. He rules the fandom and I rule the rumors and gossip…it is a equal partnership or so he tells me.

As Downtown Disney Disney Springs continue on their trek to make bigger and better your favorite Downtown area one thing that is going to be very important are the two parking garages that are slated to be built. We are all appreciative of the 6,000 new spaces created by this pair of parking garages as we all have done the parking lot slow drive at Downtown Disney. One interesting tidbit about these garages is how they are getting built and who is paying for them.
