Disney Plans New ‘Star Wars’ Film Every Year Starting in 2015
As of last October, we knew that a new ‘Star Wars’ trilogy was happening, as was announced when Disney purchased Lucasfilm. At the time, all we knew was that the new series would start with ‘Star Wars Episode VII’, and that the film will be directed by J.J. Abrams, which will be released in the summer of 2015. It’s believed that the new films will see the return of Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill, and Carrie Fisher, as their iconic characters of Han Solo, Luke Skywalker, and Princess Leia, but in what capacity is unknown. There are many rumors circulating about what’s to come, including a rumored TV series, as well as stand alone spin-off films.

Back last fall, I confirmed Disney’s plan to create a new Avatarland in Disney’s Animal Kingdom. We even shared the blue prints for Avatarland with you! In case you missed it or need a refresher, you can read the article here. Today, I have an update for you on the changes coming to Disney’s Animal Kingdom to accommodate the new Avatarland. Some originally wondered if The Festival of the Lion King would come to an end with the addition of Avatarland, but don’t worry Lion King fans, it’s just getting a new home!
Disneyland Park Features Iron Man Tech, Presented by Stark Industries
Disneyland Innoventions is one of your favorite places to visit, right? Okay, maybe it’s not your first stop. Last? Ever? As a self-proclaimed Disney Geek, I know that Innoventions isn’t always on my list. All that has changed though. I bet you will get there right after rope drop now.

How about putting on your own Iron Man suit? Would that be appealing too? That’s right, head on into Innoventions and you can. Just remember to start at 1% Power, we don’t want anyone flying into the concrete walls.
New Disney Paint by Glidden
I’m sure most of you know that Home Depot used to carry Disney paint. Everyone loved the little Mickey heads with sample paint colors and they were great for DIY Disney crafts and projects. Star Wars Weekends Coming To Disney’s Hollywood Studios
Are you a fan of the Star Wars movies? You won’t want to miss Star Wars Weekends, coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios this spring! Star Wars Weekends will begin May 17, 2013 and continue every weekend through June 9, 2013. The dates are May 17-19, May 24-26, May 31- June 2, and June 7-9, 2013.
Here are some of the highlights for Star Wars Weekends this year:
- You can meet over 60 Star Wars characters from the entire saga including favorites such as Darth Vader, Darth Maul, Anakin, and Chewbacca
- Celebrities for the Star Wars movies will be in attendance every weekend to participate in special events like autograph sessions, Legends of the Force- Celebrity Motorcade, and Stars of the Saga- a Talk Show and Question and Answer Session, hosted by James Arnold Taylor and Ashley Eckstein.
