Disney Channel orders new comedy “Bits and Pieces”
Disney Channel has ordered the comedy pilot “Bits & Pieces,” a unique re-imagining of the traditional multicamera family comedy. The series will showcase the bits and pieces of a family’s funniest moments using quick, dynamic storylines that unfold through a series of short comedic vignettes.
“Bits & Pieces” is executive-produced by Andy Fickman (“The Game Plan,” “Race to Witch Mountain”) and Betsy Sullenger (“You Again”) and written by John D. Beck & Ron Hart (“Shake It Up,” “According to Jim”). Production begins in June in consideration for a Disney Channel series to premiere in 2013.
In the story, the family tree gets a whole lot bigger when high school basketball coach Pete marries the school psychologist Jodie, much to the chagrin of their four kids. Willful teenager Alanna recounts all the family moments through comedic vignettes, while her awkward brother Sticky and their new step siblings Crystal and Brody help fill in the bits and pieces as they begin their journey together as a new family.

Tom Hanks in Talks to Play Walt Disney
According to Variety, Tom Hanks is in talks to play Walt Disney in the movie “Saving Mr. Banks”. Emma Thompson is reportedly in negotiations to play Mary Poppins author P.L. Travers. John Lee Hancock (The Blind Side) is set to direct.
The film will be based on the true story of how Walt Disney spent 14 years convincing the author to let him adapt her book into a movie. I fell in love with the idea of this movie when I first heard about it. I am huge Mary Poppins fan and I am looking forward to seeing Walt portrayed on the big screen.

Guests can now submit a written entry on www.disney.com/memories about a special someone in their life who has helped create a special memory (about anything – not just Disney vacations). Five grand-prize winners will receive a vacation for themselves and three guests, plus a vacation for their memory makers and his or her own three guests to the Walt Disney World Resort. The winning families will also receive a Sony HDR-PJ260V projector camcorder to document their fun at Disney Parks.

Angelina Jolie joins the cast in Walt Disney Studios’ Maleficent
The Walt Disney Studios has announced a U.S. release date of March 14, 2014, for Maleficent, starring Angelina Jolie in the title role as Disney’s ultimate villain. The live-action film explores the origins of the evil fairy Maleficent and what led her to curse Princess Aurora in Disney’s animated classic Sleeping Beauty.
Leading a team of visionary filmmakers known for creating and transporting audiences to new and exciting worlds, Academy Award®-winning production designer Robert Stromberg (Avatar, Alice in Wonderland, and Oz The Great and Powerful) will direct with a script by Linda Woolverton (Beauty and the Beast, The Lion King, and Alice in Wonderland). Maleficent is produced by Joe Roth (Alice in Wonderland and Oz The Great and Powerful).

When you open the app you can chose from the Series Lists and add to your own inventory. Items you add will then show up under your collection. You can then use the “My Collection” tab on the home screen to access all the vinyls you have added to your inventory. You can now track your entire collection from virtually anywhere!
This is a really fun app for a lot of reasons. First and foremost it can be used as a resource for browsing all the different vinylmation collections. It also has the capabilities as your own personal catalog and at only $2.99 it is going to be an essential for veteran collector’s and newbies alike.

This ever-expanding app is a great choice for anyone who loves Disney and love Vinylmation!
