Coming Soon Captain America Super Soldier Video Game
SEGA® of America, Inc and SEGA®, Europe Ltd. today announced they will bring Marvel Entertainment’s famed super hero franchise Captain America™ to video game systems in an original WWII adventure, “Captain America: Super Soldier.” The title is scheduled for release in 2011 on the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system, PSP® (PlayStation® Portable) system, Wii™ and Nintendo DS™.
“Video game players the world over can now become Marvel’s iconic super hero Captain America,” said Gary Knight, Senior Vice President of Marketing at SEGA Europe and SEGA America. “‘Captain America: Super Soldier’ puts players in the boots of the ultimate Super Soldier, wielding Captain America’s legendary shield. Working closely with Marvel ensures we’re delivering the calibre product that gamers and comic fans deserve and it’s a partnership we’re proud of here at SEGA.”
Players will become Captain America as he faces the Red Skull and his army in an epic third-person action adventure set in the darkest days of World War II. Wielding Captain America’s legendary shield, gamers will engage in free-flowing combat and acrobatic platforming to infiltrate Hydra‘s mysterious castle and battle the infamous Iron Cross, the forces of Hydra, and a host of nefarious enemies serving the Red Skull. As the First Avenger himself, players must defeat the evil scientist Arnim Zola and his wartime experiments, combining powerful melee combos and shield attacks to devastating effect.
“Captain America: Super Soldier” combines a highly athletic combat system with fluid platforming and a highly tuned suite of shield attacks, as Cap explores a massive castle turned military installation. His shield can be employed in numerous ways: taking out multiple enemies at once, deflecting incoming fire back at enemies, solving puzzles, and scaling walls. Players will be able to launch shield-first into the fray with the superior force of the world’s first Super Soldier at their fingertips–and they’ll need every bit of that strength to overcome a castle that’s both an acrobatic playground for the Captain’s physical prowess and a house of mystery with enemies and danger at every turn.
The original story for “Captain America: Super Soldier” is being penned by noted comic, film, and TV writer Christos Gage. The primary writer for Marvel’s AVENGERS: THE INITIATIVE series of comics, Gage has written numerous books for major Marvel characters, including SIEGE: CAPTAIN AMERICA, IRON MAN, X-Men, Spider-Man, CIVIL WAR: HOUSE OF M and UNION JACK.
Gage wrote his original story for Captain America: Super Soldier so that the setting exists within the same world as the upcoming movie, but he infused the game with immersive twists designed to enhance gameplay with all-new cinematic action sequences.

Tinker Bell and the Great Fairy Rescue Game for Nintendo DS is now Available
Disney Interactive Media Group today announced that Disney Fairies: Tinker Bell and the Great Fairy Rescue video game for Nintendo DS™ is now available in retail stores throughout North America. The new DS game includes new interconnectivity elements with the Disney Fairies Pixie Hollow online virtual world (www.pixiehollow.com), which further immerses players into the Disney Fairies fantasy.
In the Tinker Bell and the Great Fairy Rescue game, players can team up with familiar fairy friends to go beyond Pixie Hollow in order to bring summer back to the English Countryside, where the game takes place. The DS game offers all new adventures and exciting ways to connect with the Disney Fairies Pixie Hollow online virtual world. For the first time ever, players can unlock exclusive items, create fairy avatars, and send postcards to their fairy friends in Pixie Hollow, all of which create an interconnected experience between the virtual world and the DS game.
“This franchise provides a unique opportunity for us to connect different platforms together in an innovative way for consumers,” said Craig Relyea, senior vice president, Disney Interactive Studios. “By offering Disney Fairies fans new ways to connect across multiple devices, we’re creating immersive digital experiences that further enhance their Disney Fairies experience.”
Also, to celebrate the release of the game, Pixie Hollow is holding a Disney Fairies Fashion Design Contest and is asking fans to draw upon their imaginations to design a Fairy or Sparrow Man outfit inspired by the DS game. The winning designs will be brought to life as a new collection in a Pixie Hollow shop, and the winning designers will receive grand prizes that include a Nintendo DS game system, a copy of Disney Fairies: Tinker Bell and the Great Fairy Rescue DS game, and a one-month Pixie Hollow membership card.
“We are encouraging our passionate Disney Fairies online community to tap into their creativity and love of fashion to design an outfit that will be a part of the Pixie Hollow virtual world,” says Jason Everett, Disney Fairies Pixie Hollow product director. “With the launch of the new ‘Tinker Bell and the Great Fairy Rescue’ animated feature and the video game, fans will have a lot of Disney Fairies content to draw from and customize.”
Disney Fairies: Tinker Bell and the Great Fairy Rescue for Nintendo DS arrives in stores the same day as Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment’s Blu-ray™ and DVD release of the Tinker Bell and the Great Fairy Rescue movie. The game, from Disney Interactive Studios, is Rated E for Everyone by the Entertainment Software Rating Board (ESRB) and available now at a suggested retail price of $29.99.

Disney Epic Mickey Launch Date Announcement and Brand New Trailer
Disney Interactive Studios announced today that Disney Epic Mickey will be available on November 30 in North America, November 26 in the United Kingdom and November 25, 2010 in Europe. With its innovative style of gameplay using paint and thinner to dynamically change the game world, Disney Epic Mickey is one of the most anticipated titles of 2010. The game’s new video, “Journey”, is available for viewing now at www.Disney.com.

Review: Disney Camp Rock the Final Jam for Nintendo DS
Disney recently hooked me up with a chance to play Camp Rock the Final Jam on the Nintendo DS. Upon receiving it I cracked open the box, slapped on my headphones and started to play.
One thing I especially love is how the game feels like its 3 games in one.You won’t notice that initially but the more you play it the more that opens up for you.
First you have the puzzle game aspect which I like. You have to solve mysteries or puzzles to get things accomplished in the game.
Next the mini games are fun like looking for tokens or my favorite rowing a canoe.Very Cool!
Finally the highlight for me is the music. Playing the guitar, bass, drums or dancing I can imagine will be a really big hit for those die hard Camp Rock Fans.
I came into playing this game a little hesitant since it is a game based off a movie and we all know what that can mean. But I was presently surprised to find myself really enjoying this game.
I tried to let my daughter play it but she struggled with it so I would say you have to be over 6 to really enjoy this.
I would give it a thumbs up and a BIG thumbs up if you love the Jonas Brothers, Demi Lovato and The Camp Rock Movies.
