Father of the Bride Combo Packet 20th Anniversary edition Blu Ray Review
Every time I go to the grocery store to pick up hot dogs (and of course hot dog buns) I laugh to myself remembering a hilarious Steve Martin rant:
“I’ll tell you what I’m doing. I want to buy eight hot dogs and eight hot dog buns to go with them. But no one sells eight hot dog buns. They only sell twelve hot dog buns. So I end up paying for four buns I don’t need. So I am removing the superfluous buns. Yeah. And you want to know why? Because some big-shot over at the wiener company got together with some big-shot over at the bun company and decided to rip off the American public. Because they think the American public is a bunch of trusting nit-wits who will pay for everything they don’t need rather than make a stink. Father of the Bride and its sequel Father of the Bride Part II are Steve Martin comedy at its best! These movies are equal parts emotionally sweet (especially the voiceover narration of Steve Martin’s character) and crazy comedy.
The 2-pack set is a great 20th anniversary blu ray collection and set at a great price because the 3 disc package has a suggested retail of $29.99. You can grab your own copy starting on Tuesday May 15th (plenty of time to pick up this combo pack to give to your father this Father’s Day)!
Besides featuring hi definition editions of both films there are some fun bonus features as well. There are audio commentary tracks for both movies included (the Father of the Bride II one is especially funny because the commentary is with Steve Martin and Martin Short). There is also a fun feature starring Martin Short and Steve Martin where the two hilarious actors interview each other. You can also view your own virtual invitation and listen to the original score from the original film.
You will not be disappointed with this fun and hilarious comedy combo pack!

‘Grey’s Anatomy: The Complete Eighth Season’ Comes to DVD September 4, 2012
Fans of the Seattle Grace Mercy West Hospital crew will be happy to hear that Disney has just announced that ‘Grey’s Anatomy: The Complete Eighth Season’ is coming hope on DVD on September 4, 2012. This has been one of ABC’s most popular shows for years, and I’ve met a lot of fans who absolutely adore the show, so I’m sure they’ll be very happy about the news. GREY’S ANATOMY: The Complete Eighth Season

‘Ransom’ Coming to Blu-ray on June 5, 2012
One of my favorite Mel Gibson movies is Ron Howard’s 1996 remake, ‘Ransom’. The story revolves around Tom Mullen (Gibson), a multi-millionaire who owns an airline, whose son is kidnapped from a Central Park science fair. Working with the FBI, Tom will do anything to get his son back.
This may be my favorite Gibson role since Martin Riggs in the ‘Lethal Weapon’ series, so I’m definitely excited that Disney has announced that ‘Ransom’ is coming to blu-ray on June 5, 2012!
The movie also has a great supporting cast that features Rene Russo, Gary Sinise, Liev Schreiber, and Donnie Wahlberg, and is directed by academy award winner Ron Howard. It’s just a really great thriller, and I for one can’t wait to add it to my blu-ray collection.

Disney Announces ‘Castle: The Complete Fourth Season’ Will Hit DVD September 11, 2012
One of my favorite shows over the last few years has been ABC’s Castle. Starring Nathan Fillion, who I’ve been a fan of since Joss Whedon’s sadly short lived ‘Firefly’, the show follows his Novelist character Richard Castle as he shadows Detective Kate Beckett (Stana Katic), who his newest character Nikki Heat is based on. This show has continued to be one of my favorite mystery shows on television, and season four has been my favorite of the series. So I have to say, I’m very excited that Disney has announced today that ‘Castle: The Complete Fourth Season’ will be arriving on DVD on September 11, 2012. I’m very, very excited to get my hands on the next season and relive the season from it’s action packed first episode to the shocking season finale. I’m definitely looking forward to adding it to my collection. The first season will retail for $45.99. Anyone else excited for season four? Hit the jump for the press release.

One of my favorite films from the 1980s is making its way to Blu-ray for its 25th anniversary, The Color of Money! A young and up-and-comer named Tom Cruise gets to share the silver screen with a legend, Paul Newman. Newman won the Oscar for Best Actor for his portrayal of the life-long hustler Fast Eddie, which is arguably the best role of his career.
