Thomas Newman to Compose Pixar’s The Good Dinosaur
Pixar films has announced that score veteran Thomas Newman will return as the composer for next year’s film The Good Dinosaur.
Newman has worked with Pixar twice before – being the composer for both Finding Nemo and WALL-E. He has been nominated for 11 Oscars, including his work on Finding Nemo, WALL-E, Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events and most recently Skyfall.
David Lowery To Script Pete’s Dragon For Disney
It looks like another Disney classic film has a potential remake in the works. David Lowery, who directed Ain’t Them Bodies Saints which was one of the most talked about films at Sundance, has been hired on along with writing partner Toby Halbrooks to write a script for a Pete’s Dragon remake for Disney and producer Jim Whitaker. Sources say they will reinvent the story and it will not be a musical.
The original Pete’s Dragon, which came out in 1977, combined an animated fire-breathing dragon with the live action cast of Mickey Rooney, Red Buttons, Shelly Winters and Helen Reddy and told the story of an orphan boy who comes to a town with his magical dragon and his abusive adoptive parents in hot pursuit.

Espenson and Estrin are Signed for the “Once Upon a Time” Spinoff
With the success of ABC’s “Once Upon a Time”, a spinoff is made. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the spinoff for “Once Upon a Time” is coming together quite nicely and they have decided to run with Once consulting producer Jane Espenson and Zero Hour‘s Zack Estrin. Epenson will continue her run as a consulting producer and Estrin will be an executive producer for the Wonderland-themed show.
The rest of the elite team that has been decided includes creators/executive producers Eddy Kitsis and Adam Horowitz who are writing the pilot for the spinoff.
Couple’s Special Wish for Dream Wedding And Disney Honeymoon Is Granted
It happens all the time at Disney, but in real life when “dreams do come true” it makes it all that more special. And that is the story of Nolan Keane and Morgan Cartens of Kewanee, IL.
Sweethearts since high school, the couple were dealt a devastating blow when Nolan Keane, a 28 year old Missouri State University Grad and former division-1 baseball player was diagnosed with stage 4 glioblastomo multiforme, an aggressive type of brain cancer, four years ago. He was told by his doctors he had one year to live.
Instead of giving up, Nolan has fought his disease with Morgan at his side. He has undergone eight brain surgeries and rounds of chemotherapy and trial treatments and has been fighting his cancer for almost four full years longer that doctors had given him to live. Morgan, a 26 year old nurse, put her work on hold and moved in with Nolan’s family to help take care of him.
“I didn’t think twice about it. I knew he needed me and I would kind of feel guilty taking care of others,” she said. “We just take it day by day and we make it work. … You get put in a situation and you do what you have to do.”

Disney Network Employee Fired for Child Porn Charges
Why does it feel like child porn is a growing problem and our kids are never truly safe…even with Walt Disney Co. employees. Jeff Jordan, the director of safety and broadcast compliance for the ABC-owned television stations and chief engineer for ABC’s Living Well Network, was charged with suspicion of possessing and distributing child pornography last week. He was arrested and taken into custody from his workplace on March 7th.
An ongoing investigation from the Central California Internet Crimes Against Children Task Form recommended his charges. From there investigators found numerous computers and other media storage devices inside of Jordan’s home. The investigation team is made up of Fresno County Sheriff’s Office, agents from the Department of Homeland Security and investigators from the Clovis Police Department.
Jordan was booked into Fresno County Jail and according to jail records he made bond at 1:30 a.m. on March 8.
