“Disney Look” Policy Revised for Cast Members: Beards Allowed

It was announced today by Orlando Sentinel’s Jason Garcia via Twitter that the strict “Disney Look” policy that all cast members must abide by has been revised once again. Cast members will now be allowed to don beards while onstage.

Several years ago Disney revised their original “look” by allowing cast members to have mustaches. This expanded the hiring pool for the Disney parks. Now, the pool can expand even further.

It must be noted that there are guidelines to the new beard allowance. Bearded cast members must keep it trimmed down to a quarter-inch length.

Movie Review – Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides on Blu-Ray

Johnny Depp is back as Captain Jack Sparrow, and he’s better than ever in ‘Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides’, Disney’s fourth entry in the wildly popular franchise. As was hinted at the end of ‘At Worlds End’, Jack Sparrow is now on the hunt for the Fountain of Youth. But unfortunately for Jack, he’s not the only one looking for it. A Spanish armada, the British armada led by a now conformed Captain Barbossa, and the world’s most notorious pirate, Blackbeard, and his daughter Angelica, are all hot on Jack’s trail and will stop at nothing to get to the Fountain before him. It’s an epic race against time spanning from the streets of London to uncharted jungles that is full of action and adventure, zombies, swashbuckling, and rum. The film features an all star cast including Depp, Penelope Cruz, Ian McShane, and Geoffrey Rush, and the film proves that there is still life left in the ‘Pirates’ franchise. Ex-Disney Star Shelby Cobra Receives DUI Sentencing

Last month, 18-year-old Shelby Cobra from past Disney girl group KSM was arrested for suspicion of a DUI. She registered a blood alcohol level of .15, which is almost twice the legal limit of .08. (But because she is a minor, her legal limit is .00.)

Cobra was sentenced Thursday to enroll with the LA County Hospital and Morgue program. The program requires participants to visit morgues and possibly witness autopsies. Cobra is also required to complete a three month alcohol education program and attend 16 AA meetings. In addition to those punishments, Cobra must pay $1,738 in fines.

Disney Channel Star Mitchel Musso Arrested for DUI

According to TMZ, Mitchel Musso, who starred as Oliver Oken on “Hannah Montana”, was arrested for drunk driving in Burbank, CA, yesterday.

TMZ states that law enforcement pulled over Musso, who is only twenty-years-old, at nearly 4AM. He had failed to slow down for officers that were directing traffic for another, unrelated incident. He was given a sobriety test and performed poorly. He was arrested on suspicion of DUI and was taken to a nearby police station, where his bail was set to $5,000.

Musso also stars on “Pair of Kings” and “PrankStars” on the Disney Channel.

Musso isn’t the first Disney Channel star to land himself in trouble. Not too long ago footage of Miley Cyrus surfaced where she is seen taking hits of salvia from a bong. Demi Lovato checked herself into rehab after having a physical altercation with one of her backup dancers. And, of course, no one can forget Lindsay Lohan and her string of problems.

Musso is Mason Musso’s brother, who was a member of the electro-pop group Metro Station before they announced an indefinite hiatus, headed by Trace Cyrus, Miley Cyrus’ half-brother.
