Prep & Landing Totally Tinsel Bluray Review
Disney’s PREP & LANDING: TOTALLY TINSEL COLLECTION released to Blu-ray & DVD combo pack on November 6, just in time to ready homes around the globe for Santa’s Christmas arrival.
The TOTALLY TINSEL Collection contains TWO 23-minute holiday adventures—“Prep & Landing” and “Prep & Landing: Naughty vs. Nice”—and a slew of entertaining extras that will turn anyone on your naughty list into a jolly old elf, er person.
In “Prep & Landing,” the first of the series, a high-tech team of North Pole elves from the elite Prep & Landing unit sets out on Christmas Eve to prepare homes around the world for Santa’s landing. Wayne, an experienced elf is dejected because he was passed over for a promotion and has lost interest in doing his job well. When his attitude nearly “figgy puddings” a little boy’s Christmas, Wayne’s new, rookie partner Lanny reminds him that Christmas is not about selfish desires, but about giving and sharing and making holiday wishes come true. The pair must face unexpected challenges and overcome great obstacles to keep Santa on course and bring a memorable day to little Timmy and children all over the world.
Mickey’s Wildlife Count Along App for iPad
It’s beach day at Mickey Mouse Clubhouse: Mickey’s Wildlife Count Along, and Mickey and his pals need your help on their journey. So load up Donald’s beach ball, Goofy’s surfboard, Mickey’s camera, Daisy’s pail, and Minnie & Pluto’s kite into the car, help the pals climb in too, and hit the road to Mickey Beach!
Uh-oh! Mickey doesn’t do a very good job following road signs. As we follow his shortcut, the group heads into the hot and dry desert, finding lots of sand and sun, but no water. Mickey wants photos of their adventure anyway, and you get to count and capture images of wildlife, like coyotes, jackrabbits, and woodpeckers for his album.
Oh dear! Mickey makes another wrong turn and ends up at the arctic. Lots of water—frozen water—but certainly no sand or warm sun here. We’ll take pictures to preserve these memories too, and photograph increasing amounts of critters like polar bears, seals, and whales. Shake the screen to make it snow.

Is Disney’s Port Orleans Riverside the Right Resort for You?

Port Orleans Riverside
My family has enjoyed a couple of weeklong stays at Walt Disney World’s Port Orleans Riverside Resort. The question asked above, is it for you, depends on what you are looking for in a Resort, how much time you will actually spend at the Resort, and what types of amenities you prefer. My family stays at the Value and Moderate Resorts, because we do not spend a lot of time in our room or exploring the property. We get our fill of adventure at the Parks and Downtown Disney area and only hit the room to drop off souvenirs or catch a nap. Perhaps when the kids are older and we slow down a bit, we may justify the extra expense of the Deluxe Resorts and their magical appeal. Let’s look at the Pros and Cons of Port Orleans Riverside (POR):
PROS:
- The property is absolutely beautiful, quiet, peaceful, and serenely scenic.
- Bus service is excellent, with 4 convenient, covered stops. (POR shares buses with only neighboring Port Orleans French Quarter.)
- All of the guest rooms have been recently refurbished to include queen beds and flat-screen TVs during 2011/2012 refurbishment.
- The Riverside Mill Food Court is spacious and picturesque with lovely views of the Riverside Mill water wheel and Ol’ Man Island, and the food is delicious.
- Boatwright’s Dining Hall table-service restaurant serves dinner only, but it’s a great place for hearty Cajun cooking.
