Disney World Quick Tips – Tips for Moms at Walt Disney World

Disney World Quick Tips Tips for Moms at Walt Disney World

My first trip to Walt Disney World as a mom was a complete mess.  I was unorganized and unprepared.  I experienced a lot of stressful events at Walt Disney World that year, so to spare you from making the same mistakes I made…

Here are my top 5 tips for Moms at Walt Disney World.

  • Always take baby wipes, no matter what age your child (or husband) is!  Someone is bound to get messy and it is great not having to run into the bathroom here or there just to wash hands.  They are also great for an afternoon pick me up.  Just rub a baby wipe across your neck and over your face and feel refreshed!

My Top 5 Favorite Disney World Eats

My Top 5 Favorite Disney World Eats

Hey there! One of my most favorite Disney topics is Disney dining!  I think about the wonderful food and fun snacks at Disney all the time, even my 5 year old can show you where the Dole Whip stand is!  So today I wanted to share with you my Top 5 Favorite Disney Meals.  If you haven’t tried them yet, I highly suggest each one – these picks will not disappoint!

Coming in at the #5 spot is La Cantina de San Angel.  La Cantina is a counter service meal on the Disney Dining plan.  Each meal is one credit and you get to pick an entree, drink and dessert! I LOVE Mexican food and enjoy stopping here for lunch while walking around the World Showcase in EPCOT.  Some of your options here are Guacamole and Chips, Beef Brisket Tacos, Epanadas De Queso, Chicken Tacos and Nachos!  I have tried most of the menu and everything is great!  They also have a great kids menu, alcoholic beverages and desserts! I happen to love the churros for dessert, served with a dipping sauce- yum!  They also have Mexican popsicles for dessert called Paletas in flavors like cantaloupe, mango and coconut!  If you do get a dessert and want to Paletas you can ask the Cast Member at the window to hold on to it until you are finished with your meal, that way it doesn’t melt in the Florida heat!

Make your own Tie Dye Mickey Tote Bags

Make your own Tie Dye Mickey Tote Bags

Hey Guys, Jackie here! I don’t know if you know a lot about me or not but one major part of my life, besides Disney, is being a stay at home mom! I love every aspect about it, except maybe all the laundry, but one thing my daughter and I do a lot that we both enjoy a lot is crafting!  Because we love Disney SO much we often times incorporate Disney into our crafts, and especially when it gets close to our next trip!  We have 70 days until we arrive at Caribbean Beach Resort so its time for me to really start the countdown till we leave!

One thing I always do for my daughter on the way down to Disney is put together a goodie bag for the car ride.  In the goodie bag I always put snacks, candy, toys and games, last year we even gave her her very own camera to take pictures at Walt Disney World – basically anything new and fun to pass the time can go in the bag!  But this year I though, how much fun would it be to actually let her MAKE her own goodie bag that I will fill with things between now and when we leave!   Needless to say she was super excited and it was a great way to start our trip countdown!

Tastes So Good – Columbia Harbour House

Tastes So Good Columbia Harbour House

When I think of food at Walt Disney World, my mind hardly ever goes to Magic Kingdom except to think about the coveted Dole Whip!  I tend to dream and salivate about Ohana, and the Tusker House breakfast until I tried something at the Columbia Harbour House that changed the way I viewed dining at the MK!

I didn’t eat at the Colombia Harbour House until about 4 trips ago, and I am hooked!  The Columbia Harbour House is located in Liberty Square close to the Hall of Presidents and across the street from the Haunted Mansion.  Before I had actually entered the Columbia Harbour House, I always thought it was probably small and crowded but I was wrong.  This place is good sized in the inside with plenty of seating with an upstairs too!  I have never experienced this place to be super busy, although there has always been a line!  I have not had a problem finding a place to sit.  I love how cool the Columbia Harbour House feels on a hot Florida day, it is really refreshing!  Something else I really like about eating here is that there are a lot of outlets by the tables against the wall, and while I don’t know if we are supposed to use them I always plug my iPhone in while dining here!
