Dine on Disney Desserts at the Tomorrowland Terrace Dessert Party

Dine on Disney Desserts at the Tomorrowland Terrace Dessert Party

On our trips to WDW we try to do something new each time that we haven’t done before. This past trip I thought it would be fun to try out the Tomorrowland Terrace Dessert Party!! Desserts, prime viewing of the fireworks and Disney…what could be better right ?!

I called and checked on getting reservations about 1 month before our travel dates. You can contact me and I would be glad to assist you with reservations. I do recommend that you book at least a few weeks in advance because seating is limited and during the busy months it tends to fill up fast. The price per child $15.97 and price per adult $29.81.

It is suggested that you check in 1 hour before Wishes starts. You will make your way to the Noodle Station and there is a podium set up where you will receive a wristband for each member of your party. When you get your wristband you are guided to your table where there is a place card with your last name and party size on it.

If you are unfortunate to be seated at the back of the terrace *as we were* you can stand at the railing to watch Wishes. You are not allowed to bring a chair to the railing though.

The buffet of desserts was very overwhelming!! We ate an early supper just so we could enjoy the desserts we knew that we would be enjoying later that night. It was rather late when we had our party *9:15pm* but our food had time to settle.

They had fresh strawberries, pineapple, cantaloupe, watermelon and grapes for those who were looking for a healthy alternative. Then you had cannolis, fruit tarts, mini key lime tarts, rice krispy treats and much more for those who are wanting to live it up!

We discovered a shot glass size glass that had some sort of orange creamsicle type concoction in it…That was the BEST! The drinks of the night were water, lemonade *very tart I might add*,milk and coffee.

I personally was not impressed with the view from the terrace during the fireworks. It is not a straight view of the castle so the castle is not in front of you when the fireworks are lighting up the nighttime sky.And if you are seated in the back of the area the overhang is too low that you can’t sit in your seat.So standing at the railing is the best option. The cool thing to my 7 yr old daughter was that Tinkerbell flies right over your head.

If you are looking for something off the beaten path to do or you have something special to celebrate while on your trip to Disney World this is a wonderful way to celebrate!

First Annual Easter Egg Display at the Grand Floridian Resort

First Annual Easter Egg Display at the Grand Floridian Resort

We headed over to the Grand Floridian on the monorail to trade the last of our Vinylmations before the trip back to GA.As we exited the shop
we took a moment to look over the balcony one last time before our memorable trip was coming to an end.And we spotted something that wasn’t
there a few days before when we had enjoyed dinner at 1900 Park Fare with Cinderella. There was an amazing display of HUGE Easter eggs.
We had to check it out……
To our delight the lobby wasn’t very busy and it was the perfect opportunity to check each one out and not feel rushed.Apparently from the sign
this was their First Annual Easter Egg Display. They have displayed eggs similar to these for the past 15 years in the restaurants at the Grand Floridian
and have decided to share them with everyone.
I can’t imagine the time and effort it took to decorate some of these eggs. They were all so beautifully done and the cast members did an amazing job
recreating scenes from some of our favorite Disney movies. There were others that were decorated with such detail in the flowers and butterflies they
could be mistaken for  Faberge eggs.
I can’t wait to go back next spring for the Flower and Garden Festival to see what they have on display!! I’m guessing we might see a scene from Brave
on one of them.
Resort hopping is always something fun to do especially around the holidays. You never know what you may discover.
Here are just a few of the photos for you to enjoy!

Top 5 Places To Take A Quick Siesta

Top 5 Places To Take A Quick Siesta

If the heat has taken its toll or you have eaten a little too much during lunch at San Angel Inn here are a few places to catch a little Siesta (but don’t tell anyone that I told you it was ok) . This is to keep you from turning green on those rides you should avoid after eating a good filling meal!

Top 5 Places To Take A Quick Siesta

My favorite spot to catch a quick nap in the summer heat is the American Adventure at Epcot. The combination of the air conditioner and the darkness puts me to sleep like a baby.Just be sure to let your travel party know to bump you if you start to snore.I don’t think that we would want to disturb history during the writing of the Declaration of Independence.

Top 5 Places To Take A Quick Siesta

Another soothing place is Finding Nemo the Musical at Animal Kingdom. Not that the show isn’t worth watching but after a long day at Animal Kingdom this is the best way to catch a power nap so you can finish out your day. It’s a little loud with the music but if you are desperate for a nap nothing can stop you from drifting off to dreamland with Nemo and friends.

Top 5 Places To Take A Quick Siesta

Spaceship Earth is another Epcot favorite. The soothing sound of the narrator in your ear,the darkness of the “big golf ball” and the cool breezes you catch from the movement through the ride.It is one of the better places to nap because the cars are pretty comfy and there is not a lot of noise or lights.

Top 5 Places To Take A Quick Siesta

Muppet Vision  3D isn’t a bad place to catch a few winks. The seats are like movie theatre seats so they are a little more comfy than some the hard benches you could be napping on around the park.Plus it’s dark and cool inside.Your 3D Muppet Vision glasses are the perfect cover up so nobody around you sees what you are up to.Just be sure to wake up before the ending of the show….you wouldn’t want to be scared out of your nap.It might make you cranky for the remainder of the day.

Top 5 Places To Take A Quick Siesta

I can’t believe that I’m admitting to this one.It is my favorite show of all times and I try to stay awake for every rotation through the dark cool theater. The Carousel of Progress. There I said it.I have been known to snooze through every great big beautiful tomorrow chorus.I have loved this show since I was a very little girl and there is not a trip that we don’t sit through it multiple times.

But when you are hopping from park to park day after day, eating wonderful food and indulging in Dole Whips it makes it a little hard to stay awake for entire day. It’s easier than heading back to your resort and crawling into bed..so fill your belly with some delicious Disney food and head over to one of these attractions to catch a little Disney induced Siesta.
