Main Street USA – Not Just A Road To The Castle

Main Street USA Not Just A Road To The Castle

How many times have you speedwalked (or ran!) down Main Street USA so that you could get on Space/Thunder/Splash Mountain right when the Magic Kingdom opened? I know I am certainly guilty of ignoring Main Street in favor of other things, but there are MANY great reasons to slow down and enjoy the scenery on Main Street, and here are just a few:

Food – There are is so much delicious food available on Main Street that you could happily graze all day! Grab a delicious hot dog at Casey’s Corner followed by ice cream at the Plaza Ice Cream Parlor, Or some delicious baked goods at the Main Street Bakery, or candy at the Main Street Confectionary. If you are more in the mood for a sit down meal, try the Plaza Restaurant, Tony’s Town Square, or my personal favorite, the Crystal Palace , where they serve breakfast lunch and dinner buffet style and Pooh and friends come to visit! One thing is for sure, you won’t go hungry while on Main Street USA!

The Carousel Of Progress – A True Walt Original

The Carousel Of Progress A True Walt Original

There are a lot of truly amazing attractions at Walt Disney World. One of the most amazing and possibly also the most overlooked is the Carousel of Progress located at the Magic Kingdom

The Carousel Of Progress A True Walt Original

This attraction was one of several that Walt showcased at the1964 New York World’s Fair, others that debuted/were inspired by attractions here were It’s A Small World, the PeopleMover, and the Hall Of Presidents – all of which are now classic WDW attractions. The Carousel itself was originally moved from the Fair to Disneyland, and then in 1975 it was relocated to Walt Disney World, where it has remained since then, delighting audiences daily

Tomorrowland Terrace Fireworks Dessert Party is Delicious Fun For Everyone!

Tomorrowland Terrace Fireworks Dessert Party is Delicious Fun For Everyone!

Are you a dessert lover? What about fireworks? If you are like me, and you love BOTH of these things, then you should check out the Tomorrowland Terrace Fireworks Dessert Party which is held on most nights at the Tomorrowland Terrace Restaurant in the Magic Kingdom’s Tomorrowland

How it works is, you arrive at the Tomorrowland Terrace Restaurant an hour before the fireworks begin, where you get to enjoy a buffet of yummy desserts and relax while waiting for the fireworks spectacular to begin. Once it starts, you have an amazing spot to view the Wishes fireworks show

Tickets should be purchased in advance for this event (as it is very popular and the space can only accommodate 50 people at a time!), and can be purchased via phone, check out the WDW website for more information. Please note – you will need Magic Kingdom admission tickets in addition to the Dessert Party tickets!

Disney Character Spots – What A Great Idea!

Disney Character Spots What A Great Idea!

When I was young, my dad spent large amounts of time planning our Walt Disney World trips, and a huge part of that was finding out where characters would be and then planning our days around that (and this was back before the internet, so it was no small task!). Nowadays, Disney has made it easy to find your favorite characters, with their character spots – one in the Magic Kingdom, and another in Epcot, where the same characters appear daily for autographs, hugs, and photos with their many fans!

The Disney Tattoo – Is It Right For You?

The Disney Tattoo Is It Right For You?

Tattoos are becoming increasingly popular these days, and people get them for all kinds of reasons. You can essentially get anything you can think of tattooed on your body, and a lot of people use it as a way to express themselves and their beliefs. And there are a lot of people who use it to express their love of DISNEY – whether it be a specific character, quote, movie, theme park, ride – you can really customize a tattoo to say exactly what it is you love about Disney!
