Disney’s The Sword in the Stone comes to Blu-ray and DVD this August
Disney is celebrating the 50th anniversary of it’s classic film, the Sword in the Stone, by releasing the movie on a DVD and Blu-ray combo pack this August. This is a “must own” for any Disney fan looking to complete or add to their classics collection.
Take an amazing journey with a young orphan named “Wart” and the extraordinary wizard Merlin. According to legend, only someone with the purest character and inner strength can pull the enchanted sword from the stone and claim the throne of England. Armed with new found confidence and the power of friendship, Wart discovers his destiny and learns the best magic is the kind you find inside yourself!
As we’ve come to expect with every new Disney release, the Sword in the Stone combo packed will be packed with bonus features. Bonus features include a new alternative opening, a sing along, animated shorts and other fun features. The Blu-ray combo pack, which will be available August 6, with include both a Blue-ray and DVD as well as a digital copy of the movie.
Atlantis: The Lost Empire and Atlantis: Milo’s Return coming to Blu-Ray and DVD in June
Disney’s Atlantis: The Lost Empire and Atlantis: Milo’s Return will debut on in a combo pack on DVD and Blu-Ray on June 11. The combo pack will include both films on a single Blu-ray disc plus each film on individual DVDs. Here’s what Disney has to say about the movies:
Set a course for adventure as Milo Thatch and his fearless crew dive into the mysteries of the sea. The group’s underwater expedition brings them face-to-face with gigantic sea monsters, spectacular spirits and the mythical land of Atlantis while they discover the power of friendship and teamwork. Loaded with thrills and stunning visual effects, this sensational 2-Movie Collection takes audiences on an unforgettable voyage they’ll want to experience over and over again!
I saw the first Atlantis movie back when it came out in 2001 and thought it was a great movie. Unlike most of the Disney movies, I only saw it one time, so I’m looking forward to seeing it again. Now that I have two boys, I can’t wait to get it (and the sequel, that I never saw) to share with my kids. I think they will love the action packed, adventure movies.
The 3-Disc Blu-ray combo will be available June 11 for $29.99. Atlantis: The Lost Empire is rated PG in the U.S. and Canada and Atlantis: Milo’s Return is rated G in the U.S. and Canada.
Are you a fan of the Atlantis movies?

Toy Story: Smash It! Game Review
This weekend my kids and I tested out the new Disney Interactive game, Toy Story: Smash It!
Inspired by the original Disney•Pixar animated classic “Toy Story,” Toy Story: Smash It! lets players blast bricks, bounce balls and beat rainy day boredom alongside Andy’s most beloved toys. Toy Story: Smash It! is a brand-new 3D physics-based puzzler that pulls players right into the world of this most beloved of Disney•Pixar titles. Kidding around is the name of the game, as players help Buzz and the toys beat the boredom of a rainy day by knocking down their alien friends with bouncy balls all over the room!
The game has 60 levels and is broken into sections. In each level, you help Buzz Lightyear aim Pixar balls, balloons or bombs and shoot them to knock down the cute little 3-eyed aliens. It reminded us of an Angry Birds. Knocking down the aliens gets more complicated as you progress and you are given new tools to help as you progress. You also need to hit stars in each level and get a certain number before being allowed to get to the next section of levels.
My kids loved Toy Story: Smash It! It took a bit of time to figure out the best way to aim the balls. But, once they got it, they were hooked. We looked at it together for a while and then I didn’t see them much for the rest of the weekend while they took turns playing. (That’s a bonus for a busy mom!)
Happy gaming!
Amy

I can’t wait to check out the new line, especially any of the nail polishes. Disney nail polish seems like a good enough reason to plan another trip to Walt Disney World. (Then again, any reason is a good enough reason for me!) Would anyone like to join me for a Maleficent Manicure?
Beautifully yours,
Amy
