Animal Kingdom’s Wilderness Explorers Location Is Relocating

The Wilderness Explorers location at Dinoland, USA in Disney’s Animal Kingdom park is relocating. The current location is in between Dino-Bite Snacks and The Boneyard. The new home for this stop on the Wilderness Explorers challenge will be near the queue for DINOSAUR. The former site is going to be the new home of Donald’s Dino-Bash! coming to Animal Kingdom May 25, 2018.

Inspired by Russell from the Pixar movie Up!, the Wilderness Explorers challenge gives guests of all ages a chance to complete missions through dozens of self-guided activities. The missions take place in different locations throughout the Animal Kingdom park. Guests receive a Wilderness Explorer field guide to collect their badges in once they complete a challenge. Badges include the Veterinary Badge (earned while helping diagnose a sea turtle), the Dinosaur Badge (includes dinosaur fossils) and the Animal Find Badge (where guests can check off animals as they see them).

The Wilderness Explorers headquarters is located on the bridge between the Oasis and Discovery Island. Field guides can be picked up at this location or any others throughout the park.
