A Culinary Adventure Around the World at Epcot

I was recently tasked with drinking and eating “around the world” at my recent visit to Epcot! A challenge I happily accepted. (I’ll do anything for our readers) I’m excited to share with you my journey around the world and some of the best food options that can be found in each of the 11 country pavilions.

Take a look for yourself and tell me what some of your favorites are:

Mexico Empanadas

Mexico

In Mexico I tried the Empanadas de Barbacoa and they did not disappoint! The Empanadas are filled with barbacoa beef and topped with chipolte sauce, crema Mexicana, and queso fresh. They are also accompanied by a side of corn esquites. They have a bit of spice to them but not too bad….especially if you wash them down with a margarita!  You can find them at the Choza de Margarita cart and cost $9.75 plus tax.

Norway school bread

Norway

When we arrived in Norway I went straight for the famous School Bread available at the Midnattssol Bakeri cart. I have to say this was my first time trying it and not what I expected but it was still delicious! I know why it is one of the most popular snacks at Epcot. The School Bread is just $3.75 or a snack credit with a Dining Plan.

China spicy meatballs

China

Next stop was China. I wanted to try something a little different and spotted the Spicy Meatballs at the Lotus House kiosk so decided to give them a shot. They were so good! Not too spicy but oh so delicious. They are served with a crispy tofu and vegetable mixture on top. They cost $5.00 or a snack credit with a Dining Plan. It is important to note that the Lotus House and the spicy meatballs are special to Epcot’s Flower & Garden Festival so they are just available a few months out of the year.

Germany brats

Germany

I was so excited to get to Germany and sink my teeth into one of the juicy Bratwurst from Sommerest. The Bratwurst is served on a freshly baked roll with sauerkraut and a side of amazing house-made parprika chips. I washed it all down with the famous Pink Grapefruit Beer as you should too! The Brat is $10.29 plus tax. (And, yes, I do put ketchup on my Brat!)

Italy tiramisu

Italy

I was looking to try a piece of pizza from the Via Napoli Pizza Window but unfortunately it was under refurbishment. Instead, I ordered the Tiramisu Popsicle from the Via Napoli cart. The delicious “Popsicle” features a creamy tiramiso gelato layered with espresso dipped ladyfingers and topped with cocoa powder. It is just $7.50 and makes the perfect after dinner snack!

United States

Since I was trying to eat very “international” I did not stop for a snack in the United States Pavilion. However, if I did, I would have opted for the Cookies ‘n Cream Funnel Cake from the Funnel Cakes kiosk. I have tried it in the past and it was the perfect sweet treat to enjoy with your family!

Japan sushi

Japan

Next up was Sushi in Japan. I chose the Tokyo Sushi Combo and it was so good! The Combo consists of four California Rolls and three Nigiri Rolls for $12.00. The Sushi can be found at the Kabuki Cafe in Japan.

Morocco kebabs

Morocco

In Morocco, I also went for one of the booths that is set up just for the Epcot Flower & Garden Festival. At the Taste of Marrakesh Booth, I dined on the Harissa Chicken Kebab. This might have been my favorite item of everything I tasted! The Kebabs are served aside a refreshing dried fruit couscous salad. They cost $6.00 or a snack credit on the Dining Plan.

France Tomato Tarte

France

There were so many amazing options in France but I opted for the Tarte á la Tomate Provençale at the Fleur De Lys kiosk. Unfortunately, the Tarte and kiosk are also only available during the Flower & Garden Festival so they are only available for a few months out of the year. The Tarte features sautéed onions, fresh thyme, and rosemary on a flaky pastry crust. It is just $5.50 or a snack credit with a Dining Plan.

UK fish and chips

United Kingdom

Next up was the United Kingdom for some iconic Fish and Chips from the Yorkshire County Fish Shop! The Fish and Chip basket comes with two strips of fish and of course, chips. It is $11.49 and so much great food!

Canada scallops

Canada

Next and final stop was the Northern Bloom booth in Canada. The Northern Bloom booth is also a food location that is available only during the Flower & Garden Festival. After my Fish and Chips in the United Kingdom, I was still wanting some more seafood and decided on the Seared Scallops. The Scallops are served with French green beans, butter potatoes, brown butter vinaigrette and apple-wood smoke bacon. The Scallops are $6.50 or a snack credit on the Disney Dining Plan.

All and all, everything was just so good! It was hard to pick a favorite but my top three choices would be the Empanadas in Mexico, the Bratwurst in Germany, and the Harissa Chicken Kebabs in Morocco.
