What is it? We are all culprits, we see those cute Mickey-designed H20+ bottles and we can’t help but grab them, request some extras, and pack them in our travel bags as well. I don’t blame you, I am just as bad. I even save them in my Disney memory box when they change designs (Give me a like or a comment if you still have the black and red soaps/shampoo that said “Everyone Neat and Pretty? Let’s Get on with the Show!” on the side. Also forgive me if that is not an exact quote my husband is not home to get my memory box out of the closet.)
Why is it so special? Well, what do you do with your stolen Disney goods (I know, I know, they aren’t technically stolen since they were left for you for free and Mousekeeping is all to happy to oblige leaving extras) once you get home? I like to use mine when I am have a bad day or week (I also sometimes order the H20+ products when they are on sale on the Disney Store website for emergencies) because the smell brings me back. For a brief moment on a really bad day or at the end of a particularly tough week its nice to escape to the Polynesian or Boardwalk Inn simply by closing my eyes while I shampoo. It’s for this reason I like to bring different smelling shower gels to my trips too. Then when I pull out my stash of that smell I can remember all my trips and let the smell bring me back to those great days in the parks.
One of my new favorite things to do is leave them out “for guests”. I realized that the tiffany blue toiletries match my bathroom décor and immediately set them up in a basket with some wash clothes. This way, if a friend or family member ever needs to stay at my home they can enjoy the same hospitality that I come to know and love from my Disney mousekeepers on vacation.
