Hey there guys and gals, Anonymouse here.

Do you recall a few months back when I told you about a major refurbishment planned for the Polynesian?  People thought I was crazy!  You’d have thought I was telling people that Goofy was being deported (he’s French, you know. And has an Interpol warrant.*).  I understand the hoopla:  No other Disney resort has so many devoted fans and while Anonymouse does not love this resort, she gets the attachment. Sort of.

Remember when the Brady Bunch went to Hawaii? It’s like that.  And you’re entitled to love it. That’s the great thing about Disney World. There’s something for everyone.  Even people like Bobby Brady.

In the middle of all the hubbub, we issued apologies, wrote retractions, and generally hung our heads a little low.  But the truth is, we had great sources on this information and we believed them. And it’s not like I spend all my time slipping bell services $5 bills (sometimes works), listening to Mousekeeping gossip while they clean (too busy stealing toiletries out of those carts) or batting my ridiculously long eyelashes at resort management (this never works, I just do it because I enjoy it). I’ve got some good sources. And they told me to expect something big in 2013.  But we didn’t want to cause problems (no, really, that is Chip’s job).  And we certainly didn’t want anyone to change their vacations. And mostly, we didn’t want to get sued because we’re basically broke enough already.  So we backed off.

Well now it turns out that some of the major sites, some of which attacked us on this issue, are saying the same thing about this refurbishment. I’m not going to rehash it here. You can read probably the best source here.

I’m just saying I told you so.  Next time, listen to Anonymouse.   And eat your vegetables, too.

*Just so you know, Goofy is not French and the best of my knowledge, does not have any warrants.  Duffy the bear, on the other hand. Well, I’m just saying to watch your back with that one.
