‘Official’ website of Selena Gomez debuts on Christmas day
Fans of Selena Gomez, the charming and exceptionally talented young Disney starlet, best known for her role on the Disney Channel’s Emmy-winning, Wizards of Waverly Place, launched her very own “Official†website on Christmas day.
Gomez, in addition to her acting career, recently branched into musical recording territory and signed with Hollywood Records, releasing her freshman album, Kiss & Tell on September 29, 2009, and now has launched a new website that is currently under construction, which is part of a three phase building stage according to a statement made to the press by Market Wire, on Christmas Day.
Gomez’s new “authoritative†website, which is being constructed by Galt Mile Media encompasses, “a jukebox for her fans to listen to her music online,†as well as a place to “advertise her songs and videos that are for sale at iTunes.”
The site will also be the definitive source to “find out about the next upcoming show.â€
There will be a second stage to the website that “will take approximately one month to complete and will consist of a custom content management system with a login administrator panel to edit the site.â€
Finally, “Phase 3″ will add full social media capabilities “such as a Facebook style wall commenting system and chat features right on the websiteâ€
The website is targeted to wrap up completion towards the end of 2010, as it is estimated that there are approximately 260 programming hours needed.
According to a summation statement to the press, “The goal of this website is to make it the hub of activity that will eventually replace her Facebook, MySpace, and Twitter. “
A wise move for the seventeen-year old performer whose fans are much younger and often look for “Official†information rather than rumors about the entertainer.
Gomez’s new website, which she herself owns is: www.OfficialSelenaGomezOnline.com.
Check it out as they already have posted the “Naturally†video from Selena Gomez and the Scene, which several days ago had been leaked online.
As far as Gomez’s plans for new recordings, there have been “some talks about about getting back to her roots and going country for her next album.â€
Either way, Gomez says, “I want an album that is passionate, fun, and empowering.”
