Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment is announcing the debut of the highly-anticipated hi-def version of the classic “Show White and the Seven Dwarfs.”

The 1937 critically-acclaimed animated feature, based on the fairy tale of the same name by the Brothers Grimm, is the first entry in WDSHE’s all-new product line: Disney’s Diamond Collection.

It will make its historic release on Disney Blu-ray + DVD Combo Pack, a full seven weeks before the Deluxe Two-Disc Classic standard definition DVD hits the market on November 24.

“Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs: Diamond Edition” will be available for a limited time only. It will be presented with flawless newly restored picture and 7.1 Digital Theater Sytem Hi-Def Surround Sound, promising to set a new standard in home entertainment.

The Blu-ray bonus features the iconic Magic Mirror, which will serve as the host for the audiences’ home viewing experience. Using the latest in Blu-ray technology, the Mirror will recognize viewing patterns and will know where the audience has left off, suggesting where to navigate next.

The Magic Mirror marks the first use of the technology in a Disney Blu-ray release, providing viewers with the control to personally create a customized “Snow White” experience.

Also added in the Blu-ray features are DisneyView, the pioneering animated feature that allows users to expand their viewing experience beyond the original aspect ratio of the film; About Toby Bluth, wherein the Disney artist tells how the movie inspired him to create the DisneyView art; Audio Commentary with Walt Disney, which is hosted by John Canemaker; and “The Princess and the Frog” sneak peak.

For the Backstage Disney: Diamond Edition, features will include:

“Snow White Returns,” newly discovered storyboards that suggest a brand new Snow White featurette that never got made, which animators will show how the short story would have played;

“Mirror, Mirror on the Wall Through BD-Live,” a mirror that can find the secret princess inside each viewer then create for them a personal message from their favorite princess who will call them on the phone;

“Hyperion Studios,’ where audiences are digitally transported to 1937 to discover the original studio Walt Disney built himself;

And “The One That Started It All,” a featurette that reveals how Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs forever changed the world of movies.

Music will include a video of Tiffany Thornton’s “Someday My Prince Will Come,” while activities will feature the games “What do You See” and “Jewel Jumble.”
